I awoke slowly. Yesterday, I sobbed for hours wrapped tightly in my family's embrace. I knew I was protected and loved but I still felt so empty. I was in my bedroom someone must have brought me here.I felt a sense of peace in this room. Mom told me they redecorated every few years. Changing it to a more adult room as if I was here. It was a part of their therapy. I loved they did that for me. I also hated I couldn't be here for it.

I felt a tear being wiped from my face. I opened my eyes to Dad standing in front of me. I hadn't heard him come in.

"Come with me baby girl", I nodded at him. I stood painfully and he helped me walk with him to his office.

He opened the blinds and the warm sunlight washed over me. It helped.

I sent an SOS text and immediately my phone began ringing. I was barely in the car when Adam's call came through. "What's wrong with my daughter?" His tone was accusatory. "We went to a therapy session together. I guessed Angelica motives were to steal Taylor's trust. She isn't handling the fact this was all over money well" I answered. My eyes flying to the woman who was still just staring devoid of life. "f**k, of course she wouldn't. I should have called you I didn't want her to be involved. John gave me documents showing that Angelica has indeed been taking money out. A few hundred thousand so far. I've shut that down." I knew he would. "She wants every cent put back" I conveyed. "Of course, bring her here. The boys are pulling up now". I agreed before grabbing her hand and accelerating.
