#Vote# Adam's POV The week seemed to fly by as the party drew nearer. I pulled my wife to me. She hadn't been this happy and content for decades. I was happy our daughter was home. While she wasn't mine biologically she was mine. I was the first person she giggled at. The memory always a bright spot for me. "She is going to love the party" my love gushed. I smiled because she would. "Are you worried about John's son attending?" I asked. "No, he won't be an issue. Her father won't be here luckily. I couldn't forgive him for betraying our friendship in the first place but to let our baby be hurt? It's all to much" she continued. I nodded at that soothing her. I would deal with him. I was shocked he agreed to meet me and talk. It had been years since I called this man anything but an asshole but he wants to to make things better. I guess I'd give him a chance.
