"Please come with me," Tyler begged as we sat in his car in front of the doctor's office. After my lovely fainting spell, I was sent for a new round of testing and observed for two hours before being let go. Tyler was heading to his family home tonight because his cousin had an engagement party. He wanted me to come with him.
I didn't want to spend the weekend alone. I was also nervous about meeting his family. "Please, my aunt is not my biggest fan, and it would be awkward. None of my siblings can make it." I sighed.
"Okay," I told him. His joy was infectious, and a small smile tugged at my lips. "So I'll take you home so you can pack for the weekend, then we will head out. I have a hotel room in downtown Los Angeles."
"Are your parents going?" I asked. He nodded at me. Nerve……
