I yawned, exhausted. I nodded at Tyler, who opened my door as I shuffled to my kitchen table. I sighed heavily at bending down to get my shoes on. I almost cried in relief when my brother reached to do it instead. "Did you get any sleep?"
"No," I told him honestly. My brain refused to shut off. I had so much to say to Ryan and, at the same time, had no energy to do so. I knew I wouldn't, but if my blood pressure had gone higher, he'd have forced me to the emergency instead of being forced home. I took the lesser of two evils.
"I wanted you to come rest," he grumbled, dusting his knees and standing up. I snorted at that. "I didn't want to be yelled at by my babydaddy either," I replied flippantly.
"Did he text you?" I nodded, but I didn't respond to him yet. He wants to talk.
