My body was shaking terribly. I'd spent hours under the rain.

"Adora." I heard him call.

I thought I was hearing things.

Ever so slowly, I raised my head up and made out his silhouette in the darkness.

Relief surged through me as I recognized.

"Reno?" I called just to be sure, "Is that you?"

He ran towards me, paused a few steps away from me.

I stood up. He came closer.

Relief surged through my body as I saw him.

"Reno." I called again, my voice, a broken whisper.

He closed the distance between us and hugged me.

Vanilla and peppermint filled my nostrils.

"I'm sorry, Dad." Reno whispered against my neck, "I'm so sorry I couldn't save you from here."

What was going on?

What's with Reno calling referring to me as his dad?!
