BRUNO POV.
The cold air of the night did little to soothe the fire burning in my veins. Tonight was the night. Tonight, everything I had worked for would come to fruition. The moon hung heavy and full in the sky, casting its silver glow over the clearing where the pack gathered. The Elders stood in their positions, watching me, their faces like stone. But I could see it in their eyes—their reluctant acceptance. They didn’t like me, but they knew better than to challenge me. Not now.
I smirked. It was almost amusing, really. How easily they were manipulated. Ruby had been the only one foolish enough to think she could outsmart me. But like everyone else, she fell right into my trap.
