No matter how many times I tried to push the thought away, my mind kept replaying everything that had happened with Selene. The way she had clung to me, the way she said my name, the way her body had trembled beneath mine. Every detail, every f*****g second of it stayed in my memory, refusing to let go.

I clenched my jaw, shifting in my chair as I stared at the textbook in front of me. It was pointless. There was no way I was going to get anything done after what had just happened.
