I took a deep breath and stepped into the shower, letting the hot water soothe my aching muscles. My body still felt the effects of last night, and I had to admit—Alexander had completely wrecked me. Not that I minded. I smirked to myself, remembering how he had tried to use his alpha tone on me. He really thought I’d just listen? He had another thing coming if he believed that.

Once I was clean, I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and dialed Maya. It was too far away to send her a mind link, so this was the best way I could contact her. The phone rang twice before she picked up.

"You finally decided to call me?" she teased.

I rolled my eyes. "I need a favor. Can you bring me some clothes for class?"

There was a pause before she asked, "Where are you?"

I hesitated. "At a cabin."
