I didn’t waste any time after leaving the office. My mind was set. The decision was final. I needed to see Selene. I needed to tell her everything.

I found her in the pack library, tucked away in a quiet corner with a book in her hands. The moment she looked up and met my gaze, my chest tightened. She was beautiful, effortlessly so, and it pissed me off how much I wanted her.

She closed the book slowly, watching me. “You look like you’ve been thinking too much,” she said.

I smirked, stepping closer. “Maybe I have.”
