Mulvey
She cried and cried until she finally fell asleep. I had to talk to Warren. This wasn't good. She was so fragile. I had no idea what this girl had gone through. All I know is she had been betrayed in the worst possible way by the one person she trusted and believed in the most.
I was going to be there for her, build her up and make her strong again. But to do that, I needed to talk to Warren and see if her friend had shared anything with him. I wasn't going to let another girl take her own life because of bullies and the deception of someone she thought that she could trust with anything.
I pulled the cover over her, kissing her forehead. "Don't worry angel, we'll get the old you back now no matter what it takes."
She was beautiful. I have no idea why people would treat her like they did, like trash, like she was not with the s**t on their shoe. I was going to prove to her she meant something. I was going to build her up into the strong, young, independent woman she deserved to be. Like my sister has now, I have redemption for something that I had failed in all of those years ago. I won't let it happen again. I won't lose another girl through those assholes.
I knocked on Warren's door. "It's open."
I stepped on closing the door, seeing her friend fast asleep. "So how did it go, brother?"
Warren
I looked at Mulvey. "Good. Take a seat. You know how I hate untidiness."
He nodded and walked over to where I was sitting. Kacey had fallen asleep a little while. I couldn't bear to take her to another room where I couldn't keep an eye on her after she broke down after her little confession.
I should hate her. But I knew I couldn't. She was young and innocent. Dreads was just looking out for her; he had seen something in her just from the fact she belonged to Orlando Green. That name on the tip of my tongue was like poison, he was to blame for all of this. He had brought this war upon us all and he was going to regret it.
One thing I knew for sure was he would never have her back. I was going to train her to become just like me.
Mulvey sat opposite me, he looked tired and like something was bothering him. "How did the talk with her friend go?"
He shook his head. "She cried herself to sleep." He looked me straight in the eye. "She reminds me of Francesca."
My face paled. Oh s**t he hadn't mentioned her name in five years after she had committed suicide because of her bullies and the worst thing was one of them used to be her best friend and he turned against her.
They had been going steady and all of a sudden he had turned on her and abused her physically and mentally. That's when she finally lost the will to live and slit her wrists.
Mulvey and I traced the fucker down and got all the names of her bullies out of him before whilst torturing him, then we alir his wrists like she had he died instantly from his veins bursting.
We found each and every one of them making sure they were tortured just like she was slitting their wrists and throats watching them break out. It satisfied us knowing they would never be able to do it to another innocent girl, but it couldn't bring his sister back.
It was too late for her, something Mulvey truly regretted not being quick enough to notice the signs, so I knew he wanted to help this girl so she didn't end up where his sister was six feet under and unable to fight back and fight her demons.
"I see." That is all I said.
"She's so messed up, Warren. I have no idea what happened in her past, but what I do know is that asshole made her trust him and he broke that trust. Now she wants out. We need to help her Warren. She needs to grow stronger and fight those who made her like this. Those that made her hate herself."
"And we will. Maybe we can get Kasey in on it too."
"So she gave you her name?"
"She did, and all the information I needed on Dreads."
"So where is he?"
"She doesn't know the last time she saw him was when Valentino Miller was interrogating them. He saved her from death. He gave his life up for her. "
"You are sure this is Dreads were talking about? He'd never give up his life for anyone."
"I'm sure, we need to find the footage to see exactly what went down there so we can see exactly what we're dealing with. They were running from the Greens for a reason. We need to find out the reason. They were jumping the border to get away from them.
I want them safe and I don't want the Greens to find them at any cost."
"Sure l. I'll get our best men into it in the morning. I'm bushed."
"Me too bro, me too."
He pulled himself up. "I'll see you in the morning bro."
"That you will. "
He bowed his head, turned and walked out of my room. I looked over at a sleeping Kacey and smiled. She won't ever be going back there and that's a promise.
