I’ve been around the Greens for quite some time now. No one knows the deal between us, just say I owe them my life. I’ve worked for them since I left college. I’ve never told Kacey about how I got the job at the gym that was run by Orlando. The Green’s owned around 60% of the businesses around here and the Hemmings owned the rest. They wanted more, more power, more, Claratrol, just more of everything. They had once hoped to steer the Green’s so they could own everything. There had been a war between the two rivals for years. I had hoped going to college and meeting new friends would help me stay out of awkward situations. I was sadly mistaken when I met Marcus Hemmings and I helped him get his grades up. I honestly thought we were friends until that horrific night I was saved by the Greens. I owed them my life. Orlando insisted that I trained at his gym so this would never happen again, because he wouldn’t always be there to save me, so I agreed then I might be able to take on Marcus Hemmings and his posse. I trained hard every night after college and Orlando offered me a job training the teens to box and some MMA. I agreed and we signed the contract. I asked him not to tell my younger sister how we had met and he agreed.
All the way through college I never had a girlfriend because no one would look at me twice because of the f*****g Hemings they made out I was poison and had something mentally wrong with me. So here I am nearly twenty-four and still a f*****g virgin because of those bastards spreading malicious lies.
I had hoped better for Kayce as she entered high school, but unfortunately she had to be in the same year as Marcus Hemmings' younger twin sisters and they knew exactly who she was. What they didn’t expect was for her to fight back. She was a little firecracker. Unfortunately, Milly wasn’t and she got bullied, not just by the Hemmings but by those they had made friends with. They were on their own all thrive highschool because of the Hemings they made Milly a target because she was a big girl who was struggling to get her weight off, and they were bullying Kacey because she was my sister and was friends with Milly who they had taken a disliking to that is why I was surprised that they even went to that leavers party when they knew that they would be the ones ones out cause the Hemings had turned everyone against them.
I was shocked and beyond pissed when Orlando rang asking where Kacey was. I couldn’t lie to him and besides, she had told me he knew she was going and she not only lied to me but to Orlando, what the hell was she even thinking going against the Mafia was a big no no and it came with its own consequences.
When Orlando called that morning to tell me the two girls had been drugged, I was fuming. I was ready to rip whoever gave them the drugs apart. He asked me to come over,so I could talk to Kacey and Milly. I'd do more than talk with them. I’d give them what for even if Orlando and Daniel already had and that’s exactly what I did.
Orlando invited me to see who had got my sister and her best friend drunk and high before they ‘got physical’. I knew all too well what that meant.
I agreed and went to their house. I was surprised Kacey and Milly were there but I guess they wanted to hear the sad pathetic bastard's excuses for getting them drunk and high. I know I did and Orlando and Daniel definitely did.
When we all walked in, I saw the boy sitting tied to the chair already battered and bleeding. I guess they tried to get it out of him already, but it didn’t stop him from trying a second time. He soon started talking when Orlando showed him the blood results as predicted. He and his friend were not alone in this. We all took our shot at him and walked out of the cell to the next. His friend wasn’t so co-operative until the result. Then he said many hurtful and disgusting words that made me want to kill him right there and then, but I reminded myself to stay calm. Milly ran out of the room, leaving just us four. I’d never seen my sister so pissed. She nailed him hard before leaving, then we all took our shot, heading out of the cell, locking it up. I had no idea what Orlando had planned for these guys, but it wasn’t going to be good. Kayce was escorted back upstairs whilst we went into the last and final cell where the drug dealer was. Unfortunately for him, he wasn’t so lucky and Orlando shot him before we walked out. We all knew what was coming next. The big boss man would notice his dealer missing and go straight for Orlando. But he didn’t care, he wasn’t a bit dazed by it, he was expecting it.
It took almost two months to get their friend. It was like he’d dropped off the face of the earth. Orlando and Daniel felt lucky, the guy couldn’t hide forever. College was starting in September and they’d found out he was going to attend the same college as Kacey and Milly, but the Hemmings were going there too, so they had to be careful.
They had drugged him and got him into the back of the van, they called me to tell me to wait at the house for them and they had a surprise. When they pulled the kid's lifeless body out of the van, I knew what the surprise was. He'd sure have one when he came around. So would his friends. They took him down to the dungeons and tied him to the chair, waking him up by slapping him a few times. Orlando asked him the same questions as his friends. He was an arrogant bastard and thought that he could get one over on Orlando, but he didn’t know him like I did. He’d got one chance and that was no f*****g chance.
I was so glad it was just us three and not Kacey and Milly. I don’t think Milly would be able to handle any more humiliation. Orlando had given me a gun before we entered, telling me nothing. The lights flashed coming on revealing his friends. I smirked. I knew exactly what he had planned. He was going to execute them all together. We were to take one each and shoot them to their death.
BANG!
BANG!
BANG!
The bullets went through their heads, their brains spread across the back wall of the dungeon, their blood pooled around all three dead bodies. We walked out. Orlando looked at me. “I have a proposal for you. I want you to work alongside us. You’ve proven to us that you are loyal and trustworthy and you put your family and friends first. It would be an honour to have you working alongside us and I’m not about the gym, I mean our other businesses think about it.”
“I will.”
A week later, I gave him my answer. I would be honoured to work alongside him if it stopped the sick bastards that would send saved girls from their wrath, and to stop people like the Hemings.
Something else I’d have to hide from Kacey. I don’t think she’d understand.
