Stephanie placed the contraception inside her purse and checked her phone: a half-hour past six and no new messages from Trish. 3 hours 'til party time.
The nervousness returned; her breathing quickened. Two or three deep breaths struggled to temper her rising anxiety. Calm down, girl. She rolled over and bunched up a pillow under her head.
