I knocked on his door, but he didn’t answer. Finally, I just let myself in. He glanced up at me quickly, and then down at the floor.
“Hey.”

“I uuh. Look, I’m sorry about what happened. It’s just that Stacey…Well Stacey, she’s…”
“It’s okay, you don’t have to apologize.”
“Well I just feel bad, I mean…”
“Look just forget about it okay? You didn’t do anything. What do you care anyway?”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“It means why do you give a s**t what I do all of a sudden? You haven’t even spoken to me in weeks, and now you walk in here and try to be all loving and s**t? It'’ okay, just go Anne."
