When I was eighteen and just starting college, my father was gravely ill and could not work. I knew my family was struggling financially, so I was eager to do whatever I could to help out with the family finances.
The Kellys lived down the street, and I had known them for many years. They knew of my family's plight and kindly offered me a babysitting job.
