Arman decided to keep her family in the dark. I disagreed with that, but I understood that if her family showed up at the human hospital, her cover would be blown, and the target would be back on Talia's back, and we were doing the impossible to keep her off the hook.
I was rooted to her bedside. I didn't want to leave her, not even to shower. She was out, sedated for three f*****g days. Three f*****g long, exhausting, and dull days. My days without her were tedious. She was the light of my days, the salt to my pepper… You know what I mean; she was the epicenter of my happiness.
“You stink, and I am sure she will run for the hill if she sees you like this…” Iris walked into her room, and I chuckled. It was a dry laugh. I didn't want to be away from her.
