HUNTER’S POV.

I wanted to surprise Blair. After all that she had been through, I wanted to put a smile on her face. I knew she would be mad at me for a while, but I also knew it would relieve some of her stress. I was aware of how much Blair hated feeling like a charity case; she was a bit stubborn when it came to accepting help from people. So, while she went inside to be with her, I headed to the financial services department.

A lady with dark skin and thick, curly hair approached me. She seemed like the type of woman who was nosy and liked to be in everyone's business.

"How are you doing, handsome man?" she winked as she took a seat beside me and adjusted her thick glasses. "What brings you here?" she asked, gesturing for me to sit.
