CHAPTER 05

MATED TO MY TRIPLET ALPHAS 1036 words 2024-01-06 13:19:00

BLAIR’S POV.

"I’m not going, leave me alone," I grumbled, pulling the duvet over my head.

"Please, I can’t go to the ball alone," she begged, yanking the duvet off me.

"No matter how much you try, I am not budging. That is your punishment for ignoring my call. You have no idea how humiliating it was when people assumed I was trying to seduce Leo. That girl nearly killed me thinking I was seducing her crush," I complained.

"I’m sorry, Blair," Stella pouted, blinking her eyes. "I was a little sick that day."

"You are not allowed to be sick," I replied, rolling my eyes.

"Okay, dear. It won’t happen again, I promise," she assured, tucking my hair behind my ears. "Besides, who knows, maybe you will find your mate today."

“I don't want to, do you know how often people of my rank get rejected? Being an omega is terrible because no one likes to be associated with us,”

“You don't have to worry about that, I'm sure your mate is going to love you regardless,” Stella said.

Easier for her to say, being the beta’s daughter; she has never understood the struggles of being from the lowest rank, where everyone treats you poorly and very few bother to know you. I’m still amazed at how Stella became my best friend. While she was thrilled about it, I dreaded this day, the mating ball.

The mating ball occurs once a year on a rare red full moon, where individuals aged 18 and above gather to meet their destined soulmate, the ones chosen by the moon goddess, who knows best.

While it's a celebratory moment for most, for people of my ranking, it is a nightmare. In the past few years, omegas have faced rejection by their intended mates, which might explain why there are so few of us left. I won't burden you with a sad tale. Actually, I don't care if my mate accepts me or not. I tell myself I will be fine on my own, but perhaps I am lying to myself.

“I did not prepare an outfit for this occasion,” I whined.

“Don’t worry I came overly prepared,” Stella smiled widely. “Let's have a makeover,”

THIRD PERSON POV.

Stella and Blair arrived at the mating ball, Stella being the social butterfly instantly mingled with the crowd, eager to find her mate. Blair feels very self conscious about her outfit, constantly adjusting the top to properly cover her boobs. She was not used to wearing tight fitted dresses and was always in baggy outfits that hid her curves. She walked up to the bar area and took another shot of alcohol.

Nervous and trying so hard to remain calm. She secretly prayed to not meet her mate this year.

“I don't think drinking so much is a good idea, miss,” a familiar husky voice called.

She turned to face the man and it was the sweetest unique scent she had ever perceived and standing in all his glory and power was Leo.

“Mate,” they said in unison.

Her heart beat fast as she stared at him, he was always gorgeous but today he looked ten times better, and for a moment, she found herself lost in his piercing blue eyes. Suddenly, a frown creased her brow as she caught a different scent beside his. It was then that the other two triplets walked in, and their first words were, “You have got to be kidding me.”

Three mate? This rarely happened much less to someone of her ranking.

Hunter grabbed her hand roughly and pulled her away from the crowded ballroom, leading her to a quiet area where only the four of them stayed.

“What the hell is going on?” Hunter demanded as he released Blair from his grip.

“How in the world are you mated to the three of us? Even worse, why are you my mate?” Hunter half yelled in frustration.

Blair rolled her eyes at him “I'm not the moon goddess, it's not like I would want to assign myself to be your mate, you disgust me.”

“You are so much luckier than I am. You look like an absolute loser,” Hunter scoffed.

Stepping forward, Jayden waved his hands and stared intensely at Blair. “I strongly disagree. She looks so sexy, would you want to lay in my bed tonight, my lady”

“Stop being a p*****t,” Leo chipped in.

"Hunter screamed, running his hands through his hair repeatedly. "What are we going to do with her?"

"I'll figure that out after one round," Jayden replied, winking at her.

"Look, we all know how this ends, so why don't we get it over with early and move on with our lives?" Blair suggested, unable to bear seeing their frustration and disappointment at having her as their mate.

"What are you talking about?" Jayden asked.

"Rejection. Let's start the rejection now," Blair stated with an emotionless voice.

There was a moment of silence in the room, Hunter finally spoke up. “I won’t reject you,” he declared.

Blair’s mouth fell open in surprise. Of all the brothers, she had expected him to be the first to reject her.

"Why?" she stuttered.

"Hey, do not feel too special. I don't like you, and I never will. The reason I won't reject you is that I can use it to punish you," he smirked.

"What do you mean?" she swallowed nervously.

"Never being claimed by your mate is very painful, especially for a lower rank like yourself," he explained with a cruel smile.

"I'm not rejecting her either," Leo declared, gazing into her eyes.

"If no one is, I guess I won't either," Jayden smiled, wrapping his hands around her shoulders. "Don’t worry, if Hunter doesn't want to mark you, I will be happy to."

The words barely left his mouth when his two elder brothers groaned, "You won't dare."

"Wow, chill..." he chuckled, raising his hands in surrender. "I was only joking."

“I reject you three as my mates”
