The sun had turned the sky orange. I was curled into a ball on Kade’s side. He had just travelled to unexplored territory and neither of us said a thing. We were perfectly content with the silence. Then he pulled his arm from around me and sat up. He stared out at the water for a couple of seconds before he stood.
“Kade,” I said.
He kept his back on me. I didn’t think he would respond. I expected him to walk away and leave me feeling used.
“Yeah?” He arched his brow at me.
“I’m not a good kisser.” I had to come up with something to say and I couldn’t believe I said that.
He chuckled, “Why would you say that?”
“Cole…”
“Right…” he stared off again. “You shouldn’t have kissed him.”
“What?”
He lowered himself to my level and captured my lips. He dragged on my bottom lip and used his tongue to explor……
