What the hell was that?
I couldn’t shake off the weight of Sharkeisha’s words or the intensity in her eyes. She had stormed in here like a hurricane, ripping through my hospital room and my defenses in one swift, brutal confrontation. Her threat still rang in my ears, echoing over and over like some grim soundtrack to the mess I had found myself in. I’d expected to be yelled at by a lot of people in my life, but Liv’s best friend? That was new.
If she went through the trouble of coming all the way here to tear me a new one, then this had to be a much bigger deal to Olivia than I’d thought.
