“Earth to Livvy, you still there?”
Anthony’s voice pulled me out of my thoughts, and I blinked, realizing I’d been staring at the empty cup in front of me. “Huh? Oh, sorry,” I mumbled, feeling the heat rise to my cheeks. “I was just… thinking.”
He chuckled softly. “Thinking so hard you didn’t even notice we finished our coffee?”
I glanced down at the table, the empty plates and cups, a clear sign that I’d been lost in my head for longer than I had realized. “Yeah, I guess I zoned out.”
Anthony leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms over his chest. “Well, we can sit here for a few more minutes if you need to finish that deep thinking session of yours,” he said. “Or we could get out of here. Up to you.”
