We made our way to the stadium and found the VIP family box where we would watch the game. Our places were assigned and, aside from Teddy's family and Mr. Anderson, Orla and I shared a space with Pam and her kids, Sylvia, Josie, Irina and Sasha. Tracy joined us as well.
The voice in the stadium announced the beginning of the game. After the national anthem, the captains walked to the center of the field to toss the coin. I was expecting to see the usual number 34 of Osvaldo, but I had to make a double take to read the number of the guy who was now the LA Panther's captain.
It was number 22, Ezra's number, his jersey adorned with the letter C, for Captain, the one in front of the referees during the coin toss. Mr. Anderson stood up next to me, “I have never been ……
