Joy had been busy with Orla. I felt awful for leaving her behind, but my job is to be here, and I won't jeopardize our entire future. Being a pro-football player was my dream and now, it is not as important as hers, and despite that, I understand that to be with her, I need to be mindful of the game.


Our coach has been a great guide and, since this is our first division final, he has paid special attention to having us in the right mindset. He even allowed Teddy to make several calls to London and around LA, finding an open spot for Orla with the best oncologist. We just had to wait for them to be ready to come home.
