The hardest thing I had to do was leave. Ezra was right, it was our first season, and we were breaking it… despite the fame, fortune, good results, and awesome fun at the games… I wished I could stay by her side.
Becca assured me she would be there for her and promised to keep me posted. Ezra almost had to drag me out of the hospital. We arrived in the nick of time to catch our flight… I was giving my friend a hard time... by being unreasonable and stubborn.
I had a message from our coach, saying he would give us an extra day to travel, and then we should report back at concentration… I was thankful our coach was a great guy who understood that we also had personal lives… but he was so strict that when we were training and on the field, family didn't matter.
