Ezra drove for about 20 minutes, to the outskirts of the city, close to the ocean. Then he stopped in front of a fancy gate and there he punched a code into the security panel. The gate slowly opened.
I looked at him, and he gave me a side glance and smiled at me… “Are you a psychopath? Are you taking me far away to kill me and put me in a body bag… throw me into the nearby ocean?” I asked and Ezra laughed, almost choking…
“You need to stop watching those detective shows…” He laughed, and then wiping his eyes from the laughing tears, he looked at me, “By the way… If I was a psychopath, I wouldn't tell you… We just love the thrill of surprise…” He laughed and I gasped…
Somehow, I started it as a joke, but he was being so serious that I couldn't help but feel anxious……
