The young man in his twenties was a part of the Hariton family. Another family with ties to the royal family like Santiago's. Their Alpha identity put them up a notch from the Santiago family.
When it was required, even the Santiago family had to bow in front of the Hariton family.
Their eldest son, named Lucien, was the one who intercepted her. The inheritor do the Alpha's lineage had uncanny resemblance to his father, the current Alpha.
These days Lucien was being promoted as the future Alpha of the pack where they belonged, for which he attended most events in place of his father.
Lucien happened to be extremely close to Cassius. A brother from another mother, as the former always claimed.
