Savannah scoffed, rolling her eyes. “Some people never change. You’re still the same manipulator I’ve always known,” she shot back, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
Theo grinned, unfazed by her sharp tongue. “Because you drive me crazy, wife,” he said, his voice softening with something more profound. “I’d negotiate with the devil himself if it meant spending a night with you.”
She chose to ignore the intensity of his words, instead pointing at his plate. “Are you going to eat this?” she asked, referring to the untouched fries, clearly desperate to steer the conversation away from anything intimate.
His laughter bubbled up again, rich and genuine. “No, it’s all yours—just like I am,” he replied, the flirtation in his tone unmistakable.
