Theo bristled at her command, but before he could respond, Ethan smirked, raising an eyebrow at him. The bastard was clearly amused.
Theo’s irritation only deepened when Savannah moved toward the window, slipping out with the agility of a trained operative. He saw her pressing a finger to the earpiece in her ear, speaking softly to someone on the other end. Without hesitation, she started along the narrow concrete walkway that connected their building to another, her movements graceful and precise.
He instinctively followed, but Savannah turned sharply, her expression like a blade. “Stay back,” she hissed, her voice low but filled with authority.
Undeterred, Theo watched as she disappeared into another room through an open window.
