Savannah acted in an instant. She crossed the stage in a few strides, wrapping Leslie Ann in a congratulatory hug that was as much protection as it was genuine. Theo watched, a spark of pride flickering in his chest, as Savannah subtly maneuvered Joyce into the direct line of fire.
The bucket tipped, and crimson paint cascaded down, drenching Joyce in a sticky, humiliating mess. The audience erupted in laughter, the sound echoing through the stadium. Joyce sputtered, her once-flawless appearance ruined.
Her parents stormed onto the scene, their faces twisted in fury. They shouted at the school director, demanding to speak to the owner.
Theo decided it was time to intervene. He stepped forward, his presence commanding. “Do we have a problem here?”
