When she exited the building, she found Wyatt waiting for her on his motorcycle, the sunlight glinting off his helmet. He grinned as she approached. “I heard you’re transferring,” he said casually.
Savannah shrugged. “Yeah. Apparently, the adults are worried about my safety after everything that happened here.”
Wyatt tilted his head, studying her. “Can’t blame them. But before you go, how about we grab a coffee? One last time?”
She hesitated briefly before nodding. “Sure. Let’s go.”
This time, Savannah chose to drive herself, leaving Wyatt to follow her to the coffee shop where they’d met before. It was quieter than usual, and Wyatt ordered for them while Savannah found a seat. As she waited, her mind wandered to the videos she had watched during her investigation—the evidence that implicat……
