After a while, I left Joe's house even though he didn't want me to leave. I don't want Jason to have my head on a platter.

Immediately I got down, I received Joe's call.

"Why are you calling when I just left your house?" I asked, teasingly.

" I just want to know if you have arrived," he said.

" Don't be a nosy one. Derek is asking after....." He hung up the phone before I could finish talking, making me laugh. I knew just the perfect way to get on his nerves right now. Joe always had a way of making me feel better, feeling confident.

When I got in, I didn't see anyone at the living room but I heard voices at the dining room and I headed there.
