Was I Making A Mistake?

Jason POV

I still could not sleep at night with Rachel here. She cuddled next to me, refusing to let me go, as if scared I would leave her. I could not bear it, and it is unclear to me why my heart felt guilty as if I were doing something wrong. Due to guilt, I was unable to sleep, and I spent the entire night thinking about countless things.

In the morning, after making sure Jade was better, I quickly took my bath and buried myself in my study until I felt dizzy. Only then did I remember that I had not eaten, too lazy to go down, I pressed the intercom and called a maid to come and serve me breakfast. After I finished eating, I went down to take a little walk to stretch my body, but on my way down I started hearing some voices.

“What are you doing here?”

It was Clara. She sounded outraged. I ……
