Days passed, and the conflict between the two remained the same. Their little truce worked just fine. Max had tamed a little, and Charlene was calmer than ever.
Despite being edgy for days since Andy hadn’t called or messaged her, Charlene remained pleased as she buried herself in her work. However, she bugged Mickey almost every hour, every single day, yet like as he was always saying, wait for Andy to open up to her.
Her working relationship with Max was smoother now that they didn’t see each other much. Like she premeditated, she made sure Max would always have a business meeting outside. And that made her office life peaceful.
