LOGAN’S lips brushed against my hair as he let out a low chuckle, deep and warm, the kind that vibrated against my skin.
“Both,” he murmured, voice rich and playful.
I tilted my head, confused, but also curious. “Both?”
His charming eyes softened as he stared down at me. “With you, Nora, it’s both. You feel like home… and you make me want to work hard, fight harder.” His fingers traced lazy circles on my bare back, sending shivers dancing along my spine. “You are peace and war. My home… and my reason to fight.”
My chest tightened, my heart beating wildly against my ribs. The sincerity in his voice made my throat dry. Arabella whimpered softly, curling tighter into Blaze, who wrapped around her protectively.
“You don’t say things like that lightly, do you?” I asked, my voice barely above ……
