"Knowing who I am would not help you get out of this situation faster," the caller said.
Ellen could not help but agree with him or her. She needed to know the person behind the caller to get to the bottom of this. "Who is..."
"I will call back tomorrow to see if you have changed your mind, by any chance," the caller said, cutting her off before she could finish her statement.
"Change my mind?" She screamed into the phone, but the call was disconnected.
"What was that about?" Ronan asked, but her eyes were glued to her phone as she scrolled through it.
"One second," she said, raising her hand to him and pressing the phone to her ears.
