Diana.
It happened so fast, Lucien getting beaten up, his shirt all torn while he looked haggard. Nobody needed to be told twice, to notice how embarrassed he was.
But I do know one thing for sure, he wasn't just going to give up. I needed to move far away from there, no matter what. “As if I would let you leave with her.” Lucien scoffed, steadying his lower body.
“She is mine, Lucien. She has always been mine before you came.” Valen gritted.
The scene was heated, as if what had happened before was going to repeat itself. I was lost, tired until I felt the tight grip of Lucien, pulling me closer to him.
I fell right into his body, the crowd whispering around. No one could come close to us, while Valen stayed rooted to where he stood.
I am not sure why, but I kept on praying that he would at least get me out of here. He just won! “Diana has never been yours.” Lucien mocked.
“I don't belong to anyone.” I croaked loud. That seemed to abnoy Lucien more as he tightened his hold on me, his face moving closer to my mine.
I tried so hard to get out of his hold and run away, but the grip was nothing that I had ever been in. It was more impossible for me to run away unless someone helps me out. “Please.” I begged as I felt his breath on my face.
How fast table changes. As if it wasn't just yesterday that I was craving for his kiss and touch and now, it is the most that disgust me in this life. His lips was on mine, as he tried to fight his way into my mouth.
“What the hell is going on here?” Came Beth's voice. Two maids were trailing behind her, just a day and she had managed to turn the place up. “Why the hell are you trying to kiss her so hard? And why do you look this way?” She questioned in a breath, eyeing the no gap left between me and Lucien.
That gave me the chance to get out of his grip. By now, the guards have managed to move away all the people that stood by the side, watching as everything unfolded. “I told you, Diana. I warned you.” She gritted.
“and I paid heed to your warning but he doesn't want to let me go.” I fought back, pointing at Lucien.
I am f*****g tired of how everything is going, I can stand for myself. I found myself moving closer to where Valen stood and watched everything unfold. “Is this what you have to go through all the time?” Valen whispered.
I ignored him. I was angry at him for just standing by the side, watching as Lucien almost disgraced me even though he had just finished fighting for me. “I don't have time to do all this with you Beth. I am also tired and I want to leave.” I breathed out.
“At the end of the day, I wouldn't be here again.” I promised. I helped a limping Valen, helping him sit under the shade while I ran inside to get some of my stuff.
One thing I am sure of is that Lucien wouldn't come after me. I walked into the room that I had once shared with the man that I had loved deeply, the one that I had planned our future with, my future with my kids.
My heart dropped and I felt a pain that I had never felt in my life. It was too much, I couldn't just handle it as I fell on the floor, tears streaming out of my eyes.
“How did I get myself into this?” I cried deeply. All these years, thinking I was loved and cared for, it had all been a lie.
“You see, if you had died when I tried to kill you once, then it would have been easier for the both of us.” Beth walked into the room with a wine glass in hand.
If she is pregnant then she isn't meant to be taking wine right? But f**k, in my situation, I don't care and I don't give a f**k about what she does. “If it wasn't for the fact that Lucien needed to deceive you and marry you so that he can get the throne, there would have never been a way that he would have shared a bed with you” she taunted happily.
“You see, it wasn't actually supposed to end now, for you to find out about everything but It did and I will say, it did fasten up the process for us.”
The process of having me out of the way and making Lucien the permanent Alpha of the pack, while I was blinded up by their act. “So this is a call for celebration for me.” She ended, letting go of the wine glass in her hand and it shattered all over the floor.
The shard and pieces of the glasses fell over the room, close to.me but I was lucky as it didn't touch me. Something happened, it was fast, like how fast the thunder comes.
Beth stumbled, her feet landing in the shards and pieces, making her let out a loud scream but the room was soundproof and there was no way someone was going to hear her.
There was tears in her eyes as she looked at me and I looked at her back, with no fear, fiy finding my courage. “Things happened in a different ways, Beth.” I started.
“You meant to hurt me with the glass but see what had happened.” Her plan turned back and now, she is in pain, losing blood.
If it was in the past, then I would have called in someone to come and help her but instead, I watched as she cried in pain, trying to get out of the trap she had made for herself.
Picking everything that I would need and putting it in one bag, I turned to meet her crying for help. “I will leave you to have fun this time but I swear.”
“I will come back for you and him. I will make sure that life becomes a living hell for you both. I promised
I don't know how or where I am going to start from but I know one thing is for sure, I will get them to pay for all that they have done to me and the child that they had made me lose.
