The manager returned moments later, his demeanor still as respectful as ever. “What would you like to eat, sir?” he asked Bryan, his tone bordering on reverence.
Bryan frowned slightly and gestured dismissively. “Are you not the manager? This is not necessary for you to be doing. Just call a waiter and handle your other responsibilities.”
The manager hesitated for a moment, his face betraying mild embarrassment before nodding quickly. “Of course, sir. My apologies.” He bowed again and hurried away. He just wanted to impress Bryan.
Nathaniel watched the exchange with a curious glint in his eyes. As soon as the manager was out of earshot, he leaned forward with a sly grin. “Look at you, Bryan. Giving orders like you own the place. How does it feel?”.
