Meanwhile, the days went by quickly and It was soon the weekend.
I slept in until noon but was awakened by a call from my best friend Zoey.
“Girl, it’s the weekend! What do you want?” I yelled tiredly and a bit pissed from my end of the line.
The voice on the other end of the line sounded agitated. “Kenna, do you know that you’re trending now?”
‘Trending?’ The sleepiness in my eyes instantly disappeared and at the same time, I sat upright on the bed and rubbed my eyes.
I wasn’t even able to ask what was going on when I suddenly heard a voice call out to Zoey.
“Zoey! Where are my new diamond shoes?” The call from Zoey was immediately disconnected, my heart did a backflip and was pounding heavily in my chest.
