I was a bit skeptical when I saw the envelope and in my mind, I’d already assumed that this was forged.

However, knowing the kind of friendship I had with Derrick I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Meanwhile, just in a split second, I discovered that this was indeed from my mother as she left a hint behind that only Landon, my mother and I knew.

“What the heck happened after I left? Why did she insist on my stay here? Is there something they’re hiding from me?” I felt lost like I was left behind and I wanted to know more.
