Everett explained to Don Gambino how he planned to speak to Mide, which was essentially the same way Mide would speak to Miles.
Don Gambino nodded, indicating he understood.
"I'll say it again, Gambi!" Everett stood up, stretched lazily, and said, "For the next period, you'll have to endure some inconvenience. Everything must wait until things reach that critical point, when it will all explode and blossom like fireworks, and you will finally feel a sense of pride and relief!"
After a pause, Everett continued, "But, Gambi, remember this: I never want to see you shine like fireworks, because the brilliance of fireworks lasts only for a moment. Always remember this sentence."
Everett's words were spoken with great seriousness, and Don Gambino's face was filled with gratitude.
