Dunphy remained silent, allowing Alice to push him towards the room where Jeffrey was.
As he mentioned earlier, Everett had a sharp eye, able to see through to the essence immediately.
The reason Dunphy made different arrangements for his son, grandson, and granddaughter was not out of any selfishness, but entirely for their future.
Even if they didn't understand, it didn't prevent Dunphy from genuinely considering their well-being.
There are some things they don't know, which might actually make their lives easier.
However, not knowing doesn't mean they can act recklessly!
In their family, ignorance is not an excuse.
But, as Everett said, Dalan is his only son, and when the punishment is too severe, even to the point of cruelty, he still feels heartache.
