Hearing Amelia's scolding, William was completely bewildered.
"Sis-in-law, wasn't Elegance playing cards with you this afternoon? Weren't you together?" William's voice came through.
Amelia held the phone, on speaker, with Eira and Everett sitting beside her.
"Playing cards? What nonsense about playing cards, do I look like I'm made of money to waste on cards?" Amelia said irritably.
"No... then... then Elegance wasn't with you this afternoon?" William suddenly became anxious.
"With me? Just seeing you Whitlock folks makes me sick. Am I crazy to be with her? Alright, if there's nothing else, stop bugging me." Amelia said, about to hang up the phone.
"Sis-in-law, sis-in-law... don't hang up yet, this afternoon, Elegance said she was with you, that you went to play cards!" William had a bad……
