All a dream

Dawn

I grab the nearest clothing I can find and place it on my nose. I will myself to stand up until I reach the window and open it. Air rushes through my nose, and my head no longer feels light. I stay by the window a bit longer and check on Dave, who is still out cold on the floor.

Now that environment is bearable. I cover the same cloth on my nose and mouth. I find the light switch, and the light blinds me for a moment before I blink a few times to adjust. I need to watch the next step with a lot of lighting.

I head to the bathroom and flash the toilet. Then I grab some medicine from his drawer that will make him reach cloud nine. I want him to feel like it was a dream when he wakes up.

The air has cleared out now that I have left the bathroom window open too, and I no longer need to cover ……
