Miya POV
This time, Riever accepted my Granny Sarah’s invitation for breakfast. She looked less amused though, and I could only imagine why. When we made it down the stairs, a full growl escaped from my father, and he had to clamp his hand down on the wall to keep himself from striking out at something. “Riever,” he said, through his teeth. “Why do you smell like my daughter?”
I looked at my feet, though I didn’t want to leave his side. I was afraid that, as angry as my father was, he might fight Riever. And I wasn’t sure who would win, or even who I wanted to win. “Please, don’t, dad.” I said, “It… just…”
Granny touched her son’s arm. “Maybe you should take your breakfast to your office, Joshua.”
He looked so angry, I thought he might shove Granny aside and fight Riever anyway. But,……
