“Damn it,” I growled, clenching my jaw, fighting to control the turmoil raging in my chest and the fire spreading between my legs.
‘She’s not the one, man. Calm down,’ I murmured to myself, but my body, stubborn and rebellious, just wouldn’t listen.
Louise leaned in close, her fingers skimming over my chest, pressing her curves against me. Her breath fanned my neck, her scent intoxicatingly sweet, fueling a battle inside me. Deep down, I wanted to shout at her, to make her vanish from sight. But here I was, temptingly close to giving in to desires I thought I had buried.
‘No! This is forbidden! We’re not like Javier. We are better than this!’ Mark’s voice tore through my mind, his growl pounding in my head, loud and fierce.
