I lay in bed most of the night, listening for Gino. He didn’t come into my room, which was a relief. It wasn’t until near dawn that I heard him shuffle past my room. There was a moment when he paused outside my door that I thought he was going to come in and try something, but he didn’t. I wondered why.
After what Ian told me, I was certain Gino would see this as the perfect time. Did he think he didn’t have enough time to do what he wanted? Was he actually scared of Ian and Keaton? Did our plan break the monster who killed my family?
If that happened, I was going to be livid. It didn’t matter, because I was going to kill the bastard. They couldn’t stop me. He didn’t need to leave this place alive. This was all to get him into a position where we could kill him. All I ……
