We made it to the last event of the conference, and everything was going smoothly. Keaton and Ian stuck by my side for most of the night. We spent most of our evening talking to the werewolves who were helping look out for me.
Gino talked to me, trying not to be creepy. At least I hoped he was trying not to be creepy. He was failing, but I was pretending not to notice. He kept rubbing himself when he thought I wasn’t looking.
As the night went on, I could tell Gino was staring at me more and more. He made me so uncomfortable with his small talk; I started inching toward Ian whenever Gino approached. He wouldn’t leave my side, even though I was clearly uncomfortable.
I knew I couldn’t run away or push him away. Gino needed to think I was oblivious to our connection and his obvio……
