Gino was pissing me off. When I realized he’d disappeared with Bailey, I wanted to kill him right then. Melo was the one who tipped me off.
I didn’t know what he had planned, but I was glad I was able to get to him before he got her into the hotel room. Bailey could barely walk, and I didn’t like the idea of whatever he had planned. Not that I didn’t realize that was what we were tempting him with by sending her to the safe house with him. But I knew she could protect herself better.
He had to have done something to her drink. She told me she was always confident in her tolerance for alcohol before it hindered her. Then again, I was feeling a little woozier than I should be and I saw a lot of other werewolves having similar issues.
