After dinner, we went down to the shop. We had another meeting about the beast tonight. This one would include members of my sleuth. I wanted someone watching out for my mate at all times. She was my Ursa and important to all of us.
Clover went behind the counter and started making drinks for everyone as they showed up. I stood outside, in front of the door, to make sure the only people who got in were those involved in the meeting. Most humans who approached turned away quickly when I glared at them. There were a couple who still tried to get past me and I had to tell them this was a private event.
Derrick came up with a backpack slung over one shoulder. It probably had his drawing supplies so he could draw Clover’s description of the beast. He looked pretty down.
