~HARRIET’S POV~

Lying so peacefully in my mother’s lap, I do not fear being rebuked by my father, for the foolish Alpha can inflict no harm when she’s around. The man appears laughably perturbed as he grumbles about my venturing into the woods when I should’ve been studying with Miss Leda, for which he is commiserated with a promise to punish me, something which shall never happen as long as my mother’s wishes are concerned. 

It is somewhat established in my mind that the man will leave once my mother swears to remedy him with his grievances about me, but he doesn’t seem willing to quit our chambers without receiving some confidence for the same, “I hope this time there will be some substance in your promise, and you will assist me in teaching this little devil a good lesso……
