Hannah looks astonished at Dean, who says she is a parasite, leeching off him. How could he do this to her? How could he pretend that she means nothing to him? The TV interview she gave was with a woman of her age who had sympathy with her. It was easy to please the woman on the show and her audience. Anna thought that if she gave the interview last night after the whole fiasco at the channel to the ball, people would feel sorry for her today, and she was pleased when she noticed that many women her age were protesting in front of the Dean's office. It was a late-night show, and she knew that most women watching it were her age and would understand what she was going through. She did not expect Dean to turn it on her.
